Food Scenes from this Week

Hi! I love looking at food pics via Instagram, I know some people are over it, but I actually enjoy seeing what people are eating. It gives me the motivation to try out new recipes or just to get in the kitchen and make my meals rather than going out. So this post is all about what I ate this week (if I remember to capture it) with mainly food pictures…because this makes me happy!

Sunday I actually meal prepped a little which I haven’t done in the longest time. I’m hoping with school starting up, I’ll be able to do more meal prep Sundays. I made these flourless pumpkin muffins and they turned out superb…perfect for the upcoming fall season. I also cooked some jasmine rice, turkey, and hard boiled eggs to throw in salads for the week.

Breakfast has mainly been this all week:

Lunches have mainly looked like this: ground turkey, zucchini noodles, a little bit of rice and seasoned with  soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and rice wine vinegar.

For dinner Monday I made the classic pot roast. Photo cred and styling goes to Chris:)

Wednesday was Pioneer Woman’s tofu lettuce wraps with potstickers. For this being tofu, it turned out pretty flavorful but I may make it again with ground turkey because let’s be real tofu isn’t always the best texture wise.

For Thursday we went to a relatively new restaurant in Columbus, Salt and Pine. It definitely has the reputation of being the new swanky place to go so we decided to check it out. From the yelp reviews and waiter recommendation, they’re known for their sushi and small plates. I could eat sushi all dayy erryday so I ordered the Naruto Roll and the two salmon nigiri. The fish was very fresh and of good quality. The only thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was the Naruto roll was rolled in cucumber which made it extremely hard to eat in one bite, so I defs had to cut it. Then for dessert we split and the brownie sundae with this pretzel brittle which was pretty ok. Overall my thoughts: Salt and Pine is a place to be seen that has pretty good sushi and really friendly service which you should check out at least once if you live in Columbus!

I think that’s all the food pics I got for now! I’ll try to capture more for next week. Happy Friday!!
